Jess grew up on a 70-acre cattle-ranch in the primitive wilderness mountains of Eastern Arizona. Being underneath her family's totalitarian regime at home and disassociating from intense abuse at school, Jess had to grow up quickly. For middle school, her family moved to Flagstaff where Jess & her older sister also continued into high school. Throughout high school, Jess acted in plays around the country. In 2014, Jess graduated with high honors, but declining physical and mental health. The Arts Academy and Director, Mike Levin helped her achieve her goal in getting a theatre scholarship to Furman University in South Carolina where she continued to act.
Jess graduated college in 2017 with a bachelor's degree, but did not attend her own graduation. Once school was over, she had no ambition other than anxiety that she would be a waste of space due to her parents' intense standards. She started working immediately after graduation & operated well in corporate America (as a good little slave robot) but dreamed of something else.
She missed the country and growing up with animals. She missed her best friends Jeanie and Tom who were thirty-five to forty years older than her and taught her everything about the wilderness. She missed working outdoors and scuffed-up clothes. She missed simplicity and escape. But she did not miss her family.
Jess was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2019 and began making some changes. She started streaming and slowly developed what AuthentiCity is. Through streaming, she met her best friend and now boyfriend, Chaz. She no longer speaks to her family. In 2024, Chaz and Jess bought their first home -- a tiny farmhouse in the center of the United States--full of happiness & love.
Life is finally feeling safe & good --
Here's hoping 2025 brings health, creativity and plenty of fajita nachos.
Stay tuned.
